Graphic Builders was founded by Mary and Martin McElroy with a simple belief:

A well-designed home deserves to be built with equal care.

Martin began his career with European carpentry training and an apprenticeship in custom cabinetry in Ireland. After arriving in New York, he spent a decade with Taconic Builders, advancing from carpenter to construction superintendent while working on complex residential renovations across the city.

That experience shaped his approach. He wasn’t looking to reinvent construction; he was learning how to execute it properly.

Mary joined in soon after, bringing a background in project management within the finance and technology industries, where clarity, coordination, and accountability were essential.

Together they combined craft and structure.

Graphic Builders was built on the idea that construction should carry forward the care and intent that goes into the design— not dilute it.

Today, the firm remains family-led: grounded in solid craftsmanship and guided by a structured approach to building, with a focus on clarity, transparency, and long-term care for the homes entrusted to us.
